The Discovery of Virgin Hodegetria icon

We found a unique Russian icon of the XIIIth century. Very few icons of this period and artistical value have survived to this day. We are happy that we took part in a great scientific discovery. At the moment, this beautiful icon, painted in the “Hodegetria” iconography, is in a private collection.
