Arbat Fine Art gallery bought a painting that was considered painted by Battista Dossi and had a very good provenance – from the collection of the Duchess Marie-Caroline de Bourbon. The painting was acquired by the famous Florentine antique dealer Carlo de Carlo 20 years ago. We have made a high-quality restoration of this small but so beautiful painting.

We did 4 attributions and confirmed that the authorship of the painting did not belong to Battista, but to his great brother – the most famous Ferrara Renaissance artist Dosso Dossi. Thus, our gallery managed to return the name of this great artist to the painting.

With its small size, the painting is a real jewel of world art. We have found a suitable frame for it and are holding exhibitions with this picture.
